PENNY DRIVE AT
ST MARGARET SCHOOL
As we are all aware, the penny (0.01) in Canada is no longer in circulation. We are having a fundraiser at school involving those little copper pieces for a PENNY DRIVE. We are encouraging the students to bring their unwanted pennies to school. We will collect them and donate them to Habitat for Humanity. We will be starting this on Monday next week. There is a little friendly competition involved as well. At school the students are divided into color groups. So, when/if your child brings pennies to school, it will go into their bucket color. If you have more than one child, and they are not in the same color group, you may want to split their pennies up and send them in two bags. You do NOT have to do this. It is only an idea.
